Drury is one step closer to giving birth to a world-class entrepreneurship center. At the October Board of Trustees meeting, John Beuerlein, chairman of the board and Edward Jones partner, announced that he and Edward Jones had taken an increased interest in such a project and would pledge nearly $2 million to the effort.
This Wednesday, Pi Beta Phi sorority will host one of Drury's largest and most popular philanthropic events: "Puttin' on the Lips." The sorority's annual event started several years ago as a lip-synching contest to raise money for AIDS research. The event, which involves fraternities, sororities, sports teams and faculty, has evolved over the years.

Students can test their knowledge of ethical business practices in the annual Curtis Strube Ethical Bowl competition, sponsored by the Drury Students in Free Enterprise team.

A random survey of 2,500 adults , the first-ever attempt to quantify "Internet addiction'' in the general population, found that between 6 percent and 14 percent of computer users said they spent too many bleary-eyed hours checking e-mail, making blog entries or visiting Web sites or chat rooms, sometimes neglecting work, school, families, food and sleep.
