Despite rumors of a campus housing crisis next year, Drury's Housing Office is not worried about a shortage of beds for students. "At this point in time it's too early to know whether there's going to be a crunch," said Holly Herlinger, housing coordinator.
For yet another year, the Tri-Delta sorority host its annual philanthropy project, Delta Days, to benefit their national philanthropy, St. Jude's Children's Hospital. To raise funds for St. Jude's, Tri-Delta will be hosting several activities as well as selling t-shirts everyday outside the FSC commons with all the proceeds going to the hospital.
Relay for Life hits Drury's campus in full stride on Fri., April 11 despite a few minor setbacks since planning began last fall. While the number of committed relay teams have diminished since last semester, from an initial 16 teams to a current 10 teams, there is still a positive outlook for the event.

On April 10-13 Drury's Theatre department will be featuring two original one-act plays at the Studio Theatre in Springfield Hall. The theatre presents "An Evening of Original One-Act Plays" at 8 p.m. on April 10-12 and at 2 p.m. on April 13. The two plays were chosen from over 100 applicants into Drury University's Original One-Act Competition.
Now it's easier to do your laundry on campus with the new ID card readers available for all on-campus laundry services. "It's official. Everything works," said Holly Herlinger, housing coordinator. "I'm so excited." As of last Wednesday Drury residential students can now use their student ID cards to pay for laundry services, instead of quarters.
Last-minute tax filers usually procrastinate until the end either because they are lazy or they owe a lot to the Internal Revenue Service. However, waiting does have its benefits for those with Individual Retirement Accounts. April 15 is also the deadline for making moves that could lower taxes or avoid penalties for IRA contributors.
At the end of March President Todd Parnell announced that Dr. Krystal Compas and Pete Radecki would be accepting new duties at Drury that would align their individual strengths with key long-term institutional needs. Radecki's new title is now vice president of Campus Operations and Sustainability.
Each year, Drury's Student Government Association recognizes three individuals for their hard work, dedication, and support of Drury and its students. This year SGA awarded the following individuals at the 2007-2008 final general assembly held on April 3.
Drury recently received a $35,000 grant from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks to support the university's College Bound program. College Bound is a partnership between Drury, Pipkin Middle School and Central High School. The program provides over 200 sixth through twelfth graders with educational services including: ACT preparation, Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) counseling and career awareness programs.
