Drury President Todd Parnell announced last week to faculty and staff that he intends to recommend a 3.9 percent tuition increase for 2009-2010 to the Board of Trustees when they meet on April 3. The board has final say over the tuition increase, but Parnell has stated that he will push for an increase of no more than 5 percent and doesn't expect that to be an issue.
As the National Association for Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) celebrates its 100th anniversary, the Springfield branch finds its new home on the Drury campus. In a press conference on Feb. 27, the NAACP announced its alliance with Drury University and plans to settle into a new office in the campus Diversity Center, The site of the historic Washington Avenue Baptist Church.

SGA has restructured some of its constitution and bylaws. Therefore, in order to make amendments to the constitution, there needs to be a majority vote in favor by the student body. In the restructure, SGA is hoping to introduce new positions, a new senate structure and term lengths.

A survey has been posted by Drury architecture students with questions regarding what the Drury community would like to see for the Weiser Recreational Facility remodeling project. The survey, which came out late last week, takes approximately 10 minutes because of the three components to the survey.
