Office of Admission hopes to recruit to diversify population

This fall semester, Drury University expanded its College of Graduate and Continuing Studies program by roughly 400 people. Every year, Drury calculates the amount of undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the day and continuing studies programs four weeks after the semester begins.

Kappa Alpha hosts charity tournament

$2,000 goes to Crisis Nursery in the Ozarks

Drury University's Kappa Alpha Order hosted a three-on-three basketball tournament raising $2,000 to benefit Isabel's House Crisis Nursery of the Ozarks in the beginning of October, which is the chapter's local philanthropy. In total, there were approximately 100 participants who played on 15 teams.

SGA uses logistical challeges as learning tools

Last week, SGA put on its annual Student Activism Week (SAW) for Drury to get involved and participate in community development and activities. In years past, SAW incorporated expanding spheres of activism into each day of the week, progressing from campus, to community, to national, to global issues.

Etiquitte dinner stresses proper manners, behavior

The Career Etiquette Dinner was held last night, November 3rd, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Hoblit Suite. The annual dinner is a part of Career Awareness week, which lasts from November 2 to November 5. The main purpose of the etiquette dinner was to teach Drury students to use appropriate manners during meals, specifically in a job setting.

Potential campus pandemic creates confusion on its spread

It's not clear just how widespread H1N1 is in Springfield As of Friday, Drury reported 49 suspected cases of influenza. However, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department listed only seven confirmed cases in the area. That's because the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has advised health providers not to try to confirm H1N1.
