Freshman guard Alex Hall scored 33 points, including eight 3-pointers to lead the Panthers to a 99-86 win over SBU on Monday. In his first collegiate game, Hall tied the Drury single game scoring record for three-point shots. Junior forward Chris Parks made his debut with 23 points, including 17 points in the opening half and added five assists.
With senior Melanie Oliver scoring 18 points and grabbing 16 rebounds, Drury pulled away in overtime for a 92-85 victory over No. 25 Grand Valley State in the season-opener for both teams here on Monday night. Drury placed all five starters in double-figures, with senior Lindsay Ballweg adding 17 points and four assists and senior Caitlin Shouse scoring 15 points and grabbing seven rebounds as the Lady Panthers battled back.
Second-seeded Indianapolis picked up its 19th straight victory and ended Drury's volleyball season with a 3-0 triumph over the Panthers in the first round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament at Drury on Friday afternoon. The 11th-ranked Greyhounds improved to 33-1 on the season by beating the Panthers 25-17, 25-22 and 25-17 in the match.
