Where has all of the customer service gone?

Each day, we all use services provided to us by Drury University. These services are put into place to make our lives go a little more smoothly and to assist us in our Drury experience. Yet now it seems like each time I go into a place that is supposed to help me, I encounter rudeness, bitterness, laziness, and incompetence.

Soccer tournament turns into a successful promotion for weekend life on DU's campus

Originally, the thought of the Office of Admissions sponsoring a soccer tournament on Discover Drury Day seemed disingenuous at best. The idea that Drury was bribing students to stick around for the weekend to present the illusion of an active campus life to prospective students made me uncomfortable.

Maine Gay Marriage and Missouri

Dear Editor, Do you know where your money is going? In a time when the economy is still hurting, money is scarce, people are starving, families are losing their homes, and Catholic dioceses all over the United States are having to close parishes and cut back on resources? Why were Catholic dioceses, Bishops, and organizations sending money to Portland, Maine to discriminate against our gay brothers and sisters, denying them basic, fundamental human rights? I'm sure that all of these dioceses and Bishops, particularly the Bishop of Springfield, have other more fundamental justice issues to spend thousands of dollars on than discrimination.
