Each year the group prepares a $100 million, fully integrated marketing campaign for a major company and competes in the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC).
Armed with Drury degrees, seniors start their careers
Caps and gowns have been ordered, degree audits completed, and final papers are in the midst of being written. For some seniors, this semester is only the end of yet another element to their education, as they will continue on to graduate school in August.
New program to reward students for participation
The new Panther Passport Program is set to officially launch during fall 2012. The Panther Passport Program is an initiative to reward students who are actively involved and engaged with a variety of events at Drury. It is open to any student. Drury alum was first to interview Titanic survivors in 1912
On the evening of April 11th, 1912, Carlos Hurd and his wife, Katherine, embarked on the trip of a lifetime. In New York City, they had boarded the Cunard liner Carpathia, which was now steaming towards Europe. As the couple settled into their berth on the liner, Hurd, a newspaper reporter, had no idea that he was on the verge of scoring what some would later call the greatest scoop of the 20th century.
Drury unveils new GP 21 curriculum
Global Perspectives 21, Drury’s current general education curriculum, is 15 years old and due for an update. “GP21 was an exceptional curriculum, but the world has changed a lot since 1995,” said Charles Taylor, Drury’s vice-president for academic affairs and dean of the college.
